Welcome to St. Peter's International School!

For nearly three decades, St. Peter's International School has been providing the very best in Local and International Education, combining excellent academic achievements within the Portuguese National Curriculum with that of the internationally accredited Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (iGCSE) and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), both of which are taught in English.   

Students begin their journey at St. Peter’s in Nursery (from 4 months) and the school provides a rigorous, challenging and modern curriculum for all students right through to 18 years of age. Students at St. Peter’s follow a National or International pathway to university and choose to study at universities both in Portugal and abroad. This year, the school posted its best ever set of IB DP results and this bodes very well for future cohorts.   

St. Peter’s International School has recently partnered with Inspired Education, the world-leading premium school’s group, and amongst other things this exciting development has led to the construction of a brand-new Boarding facility, which will host its first cohort of live-in students from September 2021. Being a member of Inspired will also afford St. Peter’s students opportunities to take part in global initiatives, with Robotics Competitions, Musical Initiatives, and International Student Leadership opportunities amongst some of the exciting new possibilities just around the corner.  

Inspired Education is at the forefront of innovative educational practices and proved itself to be adaptable and able to react quickly, not least shown most recently during the Covid-19 pandemic. Inspired and St. Peter’s will continue to ensure that all students have access to learning, whether that be in presence or online, no matter what the future may hold.
