Mission

ST PETER’S PRESS is an editorial project by St. Peter’s International School.

The project aims to publish reference works and teaching support material, publishing authors such as Alexandre Herculano, Camilo Castelo Branco, Cesário Verde, Eça de Queirós, Fernando Pessoa, among others, promoting the excellence of teaching that is inherent to St. Peter’s International School.

In parallel, St. Peter’s Press also publishes and promotes innovative projects for teaching classical culture and languages.

MISSION OF ST. PETER’S PRESS

St. Peter’s Press is an editorial project by St. Peter’s International School, which aims to edit and publish:

  • works in the public domain, mainly by the great authors of Portuguese Literature;
  • international projects for the teaching of Classical languages and culture;
  • various textbooks;
  • and literary magazines.

At the same time, St. Peter’s Press aims to create original teaching content.

EDITORIAL FOLLOW-UP

At St. Peter’s Press, interns will be able to work with the different stages of the editorial process:

  • analysis of editorial proposals;
  • pre-production (pagination, proofreading, cover);
  • production (printing and finishing);
  • communication and advertising;
  • and distribution and marketing.

VOLUNTEERING

At the St Peter’s Press, students can be editors, participating in the various stages of producing a book. Volunteering allows participating students to develop skills in the most diverse areas.


Partnerships

In the context of classical culture and languages, St. Peter’s Press, in conjunction with the Department of Classical Studies, has established a set of partnerships with various entities, such as:

  • CLENARDVS Association – Promotion and Teaching of Classical Languages and Culture
  • CEC (Center for Classical Studies), Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon
  • Hands Up Education
  • Cambridge School Classical Project – University of Cambridge

The partnerships aim to publish and promote works for teaching classical culture and languages.
