The school provision “Latin: Language and Culture” is compulsory for all 5th and 6th graders, in a class that is forty-five minutes per week. The students begin learning the Latin language using the methodology of the Cambridge Latin Course of the University of Cambridge and they have access to the international Latin exams. During these two years, students learn the basics of the Latin language and study Greek-Latin Mythology as well as Classical Culture and its literature. Through this school provision, the school aims to give students access to one of the foundational cultures of the Western world and to make them understand the importance of the Old World in our daily lives.
