Presentation - Academic experience and professional career
On 17th September, St. Peter’s International School kicked off the 2018-2019 school year.

For another consecutive year, the school had the honor of receiving alumni, who gave a c about their academic experience and professional career.

The former students each represented the different courses offered at Secondary School level, some having already completed higher education and currently working, others currently at university and participating in different projects.

The alumni spoke about various topics: the factors that promote success in secondary education – the curriculum and development of skills; the Erasmus program; the importance of language certifications; career opportunities and employability opportunities.

We would like to thank Ágata Swiatkiewicz, who graduated in International Relations from the University of Lisbon, for her testimony about her experiences in Vienna and London, her work at the United Nations, as well as all her involvement in the Portuguese Judo Federation, both at competition level and as a referee. Beatriz Pardelhas also spoke, having completed a degree in Economics at the Catholic University of Lisbon Business and Economics School. She has underwent the Erasmus program in South Korea where she had the opportunity not only to continue with her studies, as well as gain unique social and cultural experiences.

Denis Liang, a former Visual Arts student, attended the Faculty of Architecture in Porto and then moved to Munich, where he completed his university degree. He carried out the Erasmus program in Shanghai, which which allowed him to make valuable contacts leading to several important opportunities.
Maria Seguro, currently completing her degree in Medicine at the University of Lisbon, mentioned the importance of perseverance and fighting for one’s dreams, not giving up on the first setback.
Maria Oliveira entered Secondary School with Medicine as her final objective. However, her passion for diving led her to change her ambition. Marine Biology is now her goal, having gained a place at Swansea University in Wales. Through the contacts made during her Secondary School education and in the search for new projects, has already opened doors to new and promising opportunities.

We hope all our former students continue their professional journeys that will allow them to achieve all the success they deserve!

Thank you, once again, for returning to the school that supported you and will go on to accompany you in your future careers.
